97 Degrees West’s origin story is one of determination…

It’s 9:30AM on February 6th, 2004 and I’m on a call with my boss… I’m getting laid off while on maternity leave.

I shed a few tears, picked myself up, and started this agency that afternoon. With my daughter in my arms, I cold called every CEO and Marketing VP I knew in the Austin area and had projects lined up that same week.

Fast forward 13 years, and my agency of one is a team made up of thinkers, doers and dreamers. Together, we help SMBs and multimillion-dollar companies solve their branding, marketing, business, and customer support problems to rave reviews, international awards, and positive ROIs.

And we’re still fueled by that same raw determination that was our start. We’re determined to make every client dollar earn more leads and sales than ever before (and to have a little fun together along the way).

Vera Fischer is the President and CEO of 97 Degrees West, the Brand Marketing Agency. Self-made in the city of Austin, Texas, the small but mighty agency has helped their clients sell thousands of products and services.

Vera has fueled dynamic agency growth with 26 years of marketing knowledge and entrepreneurship. 97 Degrees West has received more than 20  creative and business awards, including Austin Business Journal’s 2018 Top 25 Marketing Agencies.

She is the host of the System Execution podcast in which she explores strategies and systems behind today’s successful people. The award-winning podcast shines the spotlight on business leaders throughout the world in an interview format.

Her entrepreneurship experience has brought forward mentorship positions with companies like Capital Factory, the leading start-up incubator in the United States, and Women's Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC).

She is frequently invited to speak at a variety of conferences and events for her expertise in integrated marketing, digital marketing, podcast advertising processes, and systems.

Vera lives in Austin, where she is Mom to creatures two- and four-legged.

She is a collector of 1950s and 1960s Bitossi and Fenton housewares, a freakishly fast reader, and a lover of real estate trends.

She gets her inspiration from traveling, meeting new people, and researching her random thoughts.

With over 20 years’ experience in client relations and working with some of the largest corporations like AT&T, Chevrolet/GM, Citibank, Wells Fargo, Kellogg's and AMD; Kyle brings a variety of marketing and advertising knowledge to 97 Degrees West. From developing an Adwords buy with SEO strategy to building integrated multimillion-dollar brand campaigns across different media, Kyle has seen and done it all.
